Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on a number of city and county boards and commissions, as well as engage with several local, county, and regional elected leaders and stakeholders. I have seen and experienced first-hand the levels of connectivity our current county charter has helped create, but also areas of disconnect that need to be addressed.

Snohomish County is only one of seven counties in Washington State that has adopted a Home Rule Charter, which allows us to have a greater voice and autonomy in how our county is governed.

As a member of this 1-year commission, reviewing our county government structure, identifying gaps in efficiencies, and encouraging input from residents and community stakeholders will be my main priorities.
